  1. Love the setting, loooove the shoes, love the idea, love the pictures! Okay, I’m loving every thing! What a wonderful idea! And what a great way to use “leftovers” instead of just tossing them in a pan and eating on front of the tv… I think I’m asking my man for a picnic next sunday!

  2. Ditto everything Martine said.

Fantastic Idea – Especially at the spur of the moment!

Beautiful picnic spread – somewhat reminiscent of “Dick and Jane” illustrations. Are you certain you didn’t arrive in a primary color Ford pick-up… red, blue or green? πŸ˜€

Nope, no pickup truck in our possession, but I totally get the Dick and Jane reference! That picnic basket is from the 50’s I think. I’m wondering if I can squeeze another picnic day out of this month–the weather’s been ideal.

    Love, Love, Love the shoes!

I think I’ve got the same table cloth. I love it cause it works for every season really! Hope you’re still breathing in the beautiful fall air.

Great colors, aren’t they? The weather is still great, but it’s getting rainier now. So glad to have enjoyed it while it lasted.

I do something like this virtually every day. We call it…retirement. From what I’m not sure, since in my case it’s not appreciably different from what I did before. Your picnic foods sound delicious. Lately, my picnic menus range from apples and cheese, to apples and nuts and cheese. And I always bring sunflower seeds for the birds. They’re not much interested in menu change either. πŸ™‚

You crack me up! I love apples, nuts, and cheese, and am snacking on sunflower nuts at the moment πŸ™‚

Oh my gosh. After reading the post above I looked at the tablecloth, and see I have the placemats. Do you think this is some kind of sign?

While I’m here again, I do love the photos.

Autumn is my favorite season, especially here in New York! I’m getting married in the fall and I really want to have an intimate fall picnic style reception in Central Park, but everyone has told me that its not a good idea, that picnics are for the summer. I absolutely love your pictures and the bean salad looks great. I see that all the post are from almost two years ago, hope you guys have kept up with the autumn picnics πŸ™‚
